1. Who we are

TruckersBS (“TBS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a trucking community and media platform at truckersbs.com, operated under the brand LTL VAN Media. This Policy explains what information may be handled when you use the site and its features, why it is used, when it may be shared, and choices that may be available to you.

2. Who this Policy covers

This Policy applies to the TruckersBS website and features such as Stories, Materials, Load Securement, Forums, CabBox, E-Sign, Shop, TruckersBS TV, and THT Funds, as well as Drivers and Load Share if and when those features are made available. It does not govern independent third-party websites or services linked from TruckersBS.

3. Information we may handle

Depending on the features you use, information may include:

  • Account and profile details, such as a name or display name, email address, profile information, and account preferences.
  • Content you submit, including stories, comments, forum posts, photos, videos, load securement setups, materials, and reports.
  • Information included in messages or files sent through CabBox, and documents or signing records associated with E-Sign if you use those features.
  • THT Funds campaign information, campaign links, descriptions, beneficiary details supplied by a submitter, manually entered totals, and review or verification details.
  • Shop-related information, such as product or affiliate-link interaction counts, if the feature records them.
  • Technical and usage information needed to operate, troubleshoot, protect, and maintain the service, which may include device/browser information, logs, approximate location inferred from technical data, and cookie or local-storage identifiers.
  • Communications with support, moderation reports, appeals, and records showing acceptance of applicable policies.

Other users may mention you or submit public content that refers to you. Avoid submitting sensitive or confidential information unless it is necessary and you are authorized to share it.

4. How information may be used

We may use information to create and manage accounts; provide platform features; display content you choose to publish; communicate about the service; review reports, appeals, and campaign submissions; maintain platform safety and integrity; detect abuse or fraud; troubleshoot problems; respond to privacy requests; keep appropriate records; and comply with legal obligations.

If you choose to use optional AI-assisted editing, the text you submit for that feature may be sent to the AI service provider to generate suggestions. Do not submit confidential or sensitive material to an optional AI feature unless you are comfortable with that processing.

5. Legal grounds and choices

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may handle information to provide a service you request, with your consent, for legitimate operational and safety purposes, to meet legal obligations, or on another lawful basis. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it, although that will not undo processing already carried out and may affect the related feature.

6. Public content and sharing

Content you choose to publish publicly—such as stories, comments, forum posts, materials, setups, or parts of your profile—may be visible to other users and the public. Public content may be copied, indexed, or reshared by others. Review your submission before publishing.

We may share information with service providers that help operate the site, deliver email, provide hosting or technical services, support optional AI editing, or help maintain security. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, protect users or rights, investigate abuse, enforce platform terms, or address a safety or legal issue. We do not sell personal information as a business model.

7. THT Funds, Shop, E-Sign, CabBox, and external links

THT Funds listings may link to an external fundraising service. TruckersBS does not collect donations through those external campaign pages. Campaign totals may be entered manually; a displayed amount or verification label is not a guarantee of campaign legitimacy or outcome.

Shop links may take you to a retailer or affiliate partner. That third party controls its own checkout, payments, cookies, tracking, returns, and privacy practices. TruckersBS does not control the third party’s data handling.

E-Sign and CabBox may process documents, messages, files, and related records when you use those features. The information handled depends on the feature and your activity. Do not assume that a feature guarantees encryption, identity verification, confidentiality, or legal enforceability unless that capability is expressly described and substantiated.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

TruckersBS may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for functions such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, maintaining site functionality, and protecting the service. Embedded media and third-party services may also make requests or use their own technologies. The separate Cookie Policy explains these technologies in more detail.

The exact identifiers and providers can change as the site changes. We aim to describe the technologies actually used, rather than promise that a category of tracking is absent without confirming the live configuration.

9. International processing

Service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live, depending on their systems and locations. Privacy protections and legal requirements may differ across countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards will be used.

10. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the service, maintaining safety and integrity, resolving disputes, keeping required records, and complying with law. Retention may vary by information type and feature. Copies may remain in backups or records for a limited period, or where retention is legally required.

You may be able to update profile information or request access, correction, export, or deletion through available account controls or by contacting us. Deleting an account may not remove every public contribution immediately or erase information that must be retained for legal, safety, dispute-resolution, or operational reasons. We will handle valid requests as required by applicable law.

11. Security

We use reasonable measures intended to protect information, but no website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your account credentials and avoid sending sensitive information through features that are not designed for it. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, contact us through the available support route.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a privacy regulator. These rights are not identical everywhere and may be subject to exceptions. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

13. Children and age eligibility

TruckersBS is intended for adults aged 18 or older. You must not create an account or submit content if you are under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to TruckersBS, contact us so we can review the concern and take appropriate action.

14. Third-party services

Links, embedded videos, retailer pages, fundraising pages, and other third-party services are governed by their own policies and terms. We encourage you to review those policies before sharing information or completing a transaction on another service.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the platform, features, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top indicates when this version was published. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for material changes.
